Asia Tech Wire (Aug 16) -- Japanese chip equipment maker Disco will set up a local corporation in charge of sales and technical support services in India as early as September, according to Nikkei.
Disco will establish a local corporation in Bangalore in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, and will also set up business and service outlets in Ahmedabad in the western state of Gujarat, where a number of new semiconductor factory construction plans are being pushed forward.
The company said that the local corporation in India will initially have a staff of 10 people, and will expand the scale in the future in accordance with customer trends.
