Intel CEO Patrick P. Gelsinger said he expects the semiconductor industry growth will usher in a golden decade. "I predict another 10 years of good times await us because the world is becoming increasingly digital. All digital things need semiconductors," he said.

Intel is investing heavily to increase its chip production capacity, including $ 20 billion to build a chip production plant in Arizona.

Gelsinger also revealed Wednesday that the company will announce plans to build another "giant fab" in the United States or Europe before the end of the year.
