Asia Tech Wire (Sep 2) -- Intel is considering selling businesses including Altera to cut costs, according to Reuters.
Intel CEO Patrick Gelsinger and key executives are expected to present a plan to the company's board later this month to divest unnecessary businesses and restructure capital spending, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.
The plan will include how to cut overall costs by selling businesses, including Altera, that Intel can no longer afford to fund from the company's once sizable profits.
