Asian Tech Press (Dec 16) -- Bangladeshi telecom operator TeleTalk partnered with China's Huawei to officially launch 5G services in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka on December 12.

Huawei said that in the initial stage, the 5G network will be deployed in the Parliament building, the Prime Minister's office, the national monument and other places, and expand the coverage in the next year.

A temporary 5G site was opened at the event. Visitors experienced AR / VR services, learned about 5G use cases, and experienced content such as high transmission rates and low latency services of 4~10ms.

In November, Huawei Chairman Liang Hua said that 1.5 million 5G sites had been deployed worldwide, with 176 commercial 5G networks providing 5G services to 520 million users.
