Asia Tech Wire (Sep 19) -- Chinese tech giant Huawei will invest 3 billion yuan ($424 million) to accelerate the development of specialized native apps.
Over the past five years, Huawei has built two computing industries, Kunpeng for general-purpose computing and Ascend for AI computing.
The company disclosed at Huawei Connect 2024 on Thursday that it has joined hands with 7,600 partners and 6.35 million developers to develop more than 20,000 solutions so far.
Huawei said it will invest 1 billion yuan per year for the next three years, totaling 3 billion yuan, to accelerate the development of the Kunpeng and Ascend native app ecosystems, with the goal of developing more than 1,500 native app partners.
