Asia Tech Wire (July 30) -- Hon Hai will manufacture the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max in India, according to Taiwan's Economic Daily News.

Notably, this will be the first time that an Apple supplier will manufacture the high-end Pro series models in India.

The report said that Apple is increasingly focusing on the Indian smartphone market as well as the Indian cell phone supply chain.

Hon Hai, as the largest supplier of iPhone, is also Apple's largest OEM in India, will benefit the most from Apple's expansion in India.
