Asia Tech Wire (June 19) -- Xuefeng Chen, the former global CEO of California-based electric car maker Faraday Future, has joined Singapore-based startup SingAuto, according to Chinese media outlet 36Kr.

Chen currently holds the position of co-founder and global CEO at SingAuto, the report said.

With over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, Chen spent 10 years at Changan Ford, Ford Motor's joint venture in China.

From 2013 to 2015, he served as Executive Vice President of Manufacturing at Chery Jaguar Land Rover, the China joint venture between Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. and Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC.

From 2015 to 2021, Chen served as Executive Vice President of Chery Jaguar Land Rover. At that time, he was known in the industry as "the youngest Chinese head of an automotive joint venture in China."

In March 2021, he joined Faraday Future as CEO of China, and in November 2022, he moved up to Global CEO.

However, in September 2023 Faraday Future appointed Matthias Aydt to succeed Chen as the company's global CEO, with the latter continuing as CEO of China.

Founded in 2022, SingAuto aims to become the world's top provider of new energy intelligent logistics solutions for the entire industry chain.
