Asia Tech Wire (Sep 11) -- Walmart China recently completed a management change by replacing the COO of Sam's Club China, according to Chinese media outlet 36Kr.
36Kr reported that Shuohuai Zheng became the senior vice president of Walmart China and chief operating officer (COO) of Sam's Club as of September 2nd.
In his new role, Zheng also continues to lead the the membership team at Sam's Club.
Michael Xiaofeng Fang, formerly COO of Sam's Club, has relocated to Walmart China as chief people officer (CPO).
Zheng joined Walmart China in March 2022 in the role of senior vice president of strategy and real estate.
36Kr also learned that a change has occurred in the e-commerce business head of Sam's Club China, from COO to chief merchandising officer (CMO) Tina Qing Zhang.
After the restructuring, Sam's Club China's offline channel operations are under the responsibility of Zheng, while the online channel operations are under Zhang's management.
