Asia Tech Wire (Sep 9) -- China's first monkeypox vaccine received clinical approval.

Chinese state-owned pharmaceutical group Sinopharm on Monday received a clinical trial notification letter from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for its live attenuated Mpox vaccine against the MVA strain.

The vaccine is the first monkeypox vaccine that China has approved for clinical trials.

Sinopharm said the safety and efficacy of the vaccine strain has been fully demonstrated by clinical data.
