Asian Tech Press (Jan 17) -- Tencent Games has announced that minors can play for up to 14 hours during the 2022 Winter and Spring Festival holidays.
Tencent stated that in conjunction with the Notice on Further Strict Management to Effectively Prevent Minors from Being Addicted to Online Games and the actual holiday arrangements, minors are allowed to log in to games between 20:00 and 21:00 each day on the following dates.
- January 21-23 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- January 28 (Friday)
- January 31-February 6 (Chinese New Year holiday)
- February 11-13 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Except for the upper time limit, minors will not be able to enter the game at any other time. Special reminder that January 29-30 (Saturday and Sunday) are restricted dates.
China's State Press and Publication Administration previously issued the Notice on Further Strict Management to Effectively Prevent Minors from Being Addicted to Online Games, which further tightens management measures by putting forward requirements such as strictly limiting the time of providing online game services to minors and strictly implementing real-name registration and login for online game user accounts.
