Asian Tech Press (OCT 18) -- Tencent Game's TiMi Studio Group has announced that its Seattle game subsidiary is now officially named "Team Kaiju."

In June this year, Team Kaiju was established in Seattle by TiMi and is also the first independent studio TiMi has supported and incubated in North America.

The studio is dedicated to building an original IP shooter game based on AAA end-game quality for multiple platforms. The project has been in development for over a year, and the team members are mainly located in Seattle and Los Angeles.

Currently, the studio team has about 20 developers, most of whom have experience in creating 3A shooters. Team Kaiju head Scott Warner was the lead designer for Halo 4 and worked on the Battlefield and Mercenaries series, while operations director Rosi Zagorcheva served as senior director of development for the Battlefield 4 series and worked on Star Wars Battlefront and Medal of Honor.
