Asian Tech Press (Nov 29) -- According to Sensor Tower store intelligence data, Tencent's mobile game PUBG Mobile has accumulated more than $7 billion in global App Store and Google Play revenue after a record high revenue in the third quarter of 2021.
Based on Sensor Tower's estimates, PUBG Mobile has earned about $2.6 billion globally this year-to-date, edging out Genshin Impact for second place behind Tencent's Honor of Kings.
PUBG Mobile has earned more than $700 million every quarter this year, including a record $771 million in revenue in the third quarter. In 2021, the tactical sports game averaged $8.1 million in daily revenue.
Sensor Tower notes that China is PUBG Mobile's highest cumulative revenue market, at nearly $4 billion, accounting for about 57 percent of the title's global revenue. (Note: This figure does not include the game's revenue from third-party Android app stores in China.) The US and Japan rank second and third in this statistic, with revenue shares of 11.8% and 4.2%, respectively.
PUBG Mobile has generated 81% of its total revenue in the App Store and only 19% in the Google Play Store. The App Store contributed approximately 56.6% of PUBG Mobile's revenue in countries and regions other than China.
