Asia Tech Wire (Mar 18) -- Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd (300450.SZ), a China-based supplier of lithium-ion battery manufacturing equipment, has secured a 20GWh lithium battery equipment order in the U.S.

Lead Intelligent announced on Monday that it has officially signed a global strategic cooperation agreement with U.S. battery manufacturer American Battery Factory (ABF).

Under the agreement, Lead Intelligent will provide ABF with lithium-ion battery intelligent production line services totaling a target of 20GWh.

It is worth noting that this is by far the largest lithium-ion battery equipment order that a Chinese company has received in the U.S.

Founded in 1999, Lead Intelligent has set up 15 branches or subsidiaries around the world, and its business coverage has expanded to more than 20 countries and regions, including the U.S., Germany, Sweden, Turkey and so on.

In addition, it has established strategic partnerships with global new energy companies such as Tesla, CATL, Volkswagen, BMW, BYD, CALB, Eve Energy, SVOLT, etc.
