Asia Tech Wire (Nov 4) -- Warren Buffett, the 94-year-old American investment guru, has once again dumped Apple shares in the third quarter of 2024.
Buffett's investment firm, Berkshire Hathaway, announced earnings results for the third quarter of 2024 on Saturday, showing that it cut its stake in Apple by 25% in the third quarter, after reducing its holdings by nearly 50% in the second quarter.
The company sold about $36.1 billion in stock in the third quarter, including billions of dollars in Bank of America shares.
Berkshire's cash reserves rose to $325.2 billion at the end of September, another record high.
And so far this year, Apple shares have risen about 20% to $222.91.
