Asia Tech Wire (Aug 19) -- Ubisoft, the maker of video games such as Assassin's Creed, is laying off 45 people at its offices in San Francisco and Carey, North Carolina.
Meanwhile, layoffs continue in the industry.
An Ubisoft spokesperson said in a statement that the company made the "difficult yet necessary decision."
According to Ubisoft, affected employees will receive severance pay and career assistance.
