Asian Tech Press (Nov 22) -- Apple Inc. will not be able to ship new iPads to Asian consumers before Christmas due to supply woes, The Nikkei reported Monday.

The report said the supply crunch is hitting the U.S. giant ahead of the key holiday season.

For example, customers in the Philippines who ordered the iPad WiFi 256GB, one of the most popular iPad models, on Apple's website on Monday will have to wait until Jan. 14 for delivery.

In addition, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Malaysian customers who ordered on Monday will also receive the devices after Christmas.
