Asian Tech Press (Jan 6) -- U.S. e-commerce company Amazon.com Inc and automaker Stellantis N.V. announced Wednesday at the CES technology conference that they have reached a series of global, multi-year agreements on smart vehicles.
The two companies said they plan to put thousands of Stellantis Ram ProMaster electric trucks on the road every year. And Stellantis cars and trucks will have Amazon software installed on their dashboards, and electric vans made by Stellattis will be deployed on Amazon's delivery network.
Stellantis said in the news press that Amazon will be the first commercial customer for Stellantis' new series of electric trucks to be launched in 2023.
Amazon and Stellantis said they will work together to develop software for the Stellantis car's smart cockpit, which will be available from 2024.
