Asia Tech Wire (Oct 10) -- Chinese electric car maker Xpeng Inc. is expanding its robotaxi team, according to the latest market news.

As its latest effort to expand its self-driving taxi research and development team, Xpeng is seeking high-paying employees with experience in robotaxi at tier-one companies around the world.

Positions under recruitment include RoboTaxi Director of Operations and Senior Manager of Operations, with the Operations Director position offering a salary range of RMB40-60K per month (paid for 15 months), or up to nearly RMB1 million per year.

It is worth noting that both Xpeng and rival Tesla will hold new product launches on October 10, during which Tesla will unveil its robotaxi product.
