Asian Tech Press (Oct 12) -- Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp (1810. HK) topped 5G smartphone shipments in Central and Eastern Europe in Q3 2021, according to Strategy Analytics.
The latest research from Strategy Analytics shows that Xiaomi accounted for 42% of total 5G smartphone shipments in CEE region in the third quarter of 2021, with annual shipment growth of 5,700%.
Xiaomi's 5G smartphone shipments have surpassed Apple and South Korea's Samsung in the past year to become the top 5G smartphone seller in Central and Eastern Europe, the study said.
Yiwen Wu, senior analyst at Strategy Analytics, said that Xiaomi is expected to maintain its leading position in Central and Eastern Europe throughout 2021 and to maintain as the leader in 5G smartphone shipments in 2022.
