Asia Tech Wire (Sep 19) -- The Uni-President Group announced Thursday that it has completed a joint venture with Yahoo for Yahoo's Taiwan e-commerce business, officially handing over the deal.

The Taiwan-based company said it will inject group resources to develop the cooperation synergy in the future, and the amount of investment and resources will exceed US$100 million (about NT$3.193 billion).

Under the new cooperation structure, Uni-President and Yahoo will hold 80% and 20% of the shares of the e-commerce joint venture, respectively, Uni-President said.

Pete Wong, Yahoo Taiwan CEO and Yahoo Asia's General Manager, will be the CEO of the e-commerce joint venture.
