Asian Tech Press (Nov 30) -- According to media reports, research firms expect TSMC, UMC, and Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) to see significant revenue growth this year, year-over-year.
The research firm expects TSMC, UMC and VIS revenue to grow 4% YoY in the fourth quarter and 25% YoY for the entire year for the three companies.
In the third quarter of this year, the chip foundries are cumulative revenue of $ 17.3 billion, up 4% sequentially, which is expected to reach $ 17.992 billion.
In 2020, TSMC revenue of $45.505 billion, UMC revenue of $6.209 billion, VIS revenue of $1.193 billion, three companies last year's cumulative revenue of $52.907 billion, an increase of 25% year-on-year, will exceed $65 billion.
The research firm also expects that TSMC, UMC and VIS's cumulative revenue in 2022, driven by foreseeable orders and new capacity, is expected to grow another 15-20% year-over-year.
