Asia Tech Wire (Aug 20) -- Toyota Motor Corp. will adopt integrated die-casting technology to produce electric cars in Japan, according to Nikkei.

A new report stated that Toyota will introduce integrated die-casting or gigacasting technology for unibody parts at its plant in Aichi Prefecture in 2024, and use it for prototyping electric vehicle parts.

Toyota is preparing for full-scale electric vehicle production by accelerating the introduction of the industry's latest equipment.
