Asian Tech Press (OCT 15) -- Nintendo's latest model, the Nintendo SwitchOLED, went on sale on Oct. 8 for US$349. The Switch OLED comes with a 7-inch OLED display, 64G of memory space, and a more flexible stand, and improved speakers.
According to data released by FamiCom on Thursday, the Nintendo Switch OLED sold 138,400 units in its home market during its first weekend.
Serkan Toto, an industry consultant in Tokyo, believes that the Switch OLED will be more popular than the standard Switch or Switch Lite, with some existing users upgrading their older devices while also attracting some new users. Toto noted that Nintendo's products have unique characteristics similar to Tesla and that both companies have large and rabid fan groups.
