Asian Tech Press (Jan 05) -- Automaker Stellantis' Chrysler brand has announced plans to complete its transition to an all-electric vehicle brand by 2028, with the first electric vehicle planned for launch by 2025.

Stellantis unveiled the first Chrysler Airflow crossover concept to mark the start of the brand's all-electric transition. Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell said Chrysler plans to have several all-electric models, including a minivan, available by 2028. She said she will completely change Chrysler's product portfolio from 2025 to 2028 and beyond.

Stellantis had said in July 2021 that it plans to invest more than 30 billion euros ($33.87 billion) in electrifying its vehicle lineup by 2025. All 14 of its car brands, including Chrysler, will offer all-electric vehicles, and its goal is to have battery or hybrid vehicles account for more than 70 percent of sales in Europe and more than 40 percent of sales in the United States by 2030.
