Asian Tech Press (Dec 06) -- According to industry chain sources, Intel executives will visit TSMC in the middle of this month to discuss with TSMC executives on 3nm process foundry matters, and the two sides will also discuss the cooperation of the 2nm process.
Intel is currently one of the few manufacturers to integrate chip design and manufacturing but has encountered twists and turns in the chip process surface and has not kept pace with TSMC and Samsung.
In the second quarter of last year's earnings analyst conference call, Intel's then-CEO Bob Swan revealed that they are considering handing over some chips to other manufacturers. After the announcement of the news, media reports had expected TSMC is expected to become Intel's chip foundry.
