Japanese conglomerate Sony Group Corp. plans to launch its next-generation PlayStation VR in late 2022, according to Bloomberg.

The new PlayStation VR will be equipped with goggles that use Samsung Display Co. OLED panels.

Sony is aiming to release the next-generation PlayStation VR in the holiday period next year, as Bloomberg said.

A Sony spokesperson and a Samsung Display representative declined to comment.
