Asia Tech Wire (Oct 21) -- Sony Group and Honda will introduce an artificial intelligence (AI) self-driving assistance feature in new EVs jointly developed by the two companies, according to Nikkei.
Notably, this is the first time a Japanese car has made public plans to introduce the feature.
Sony Honda Mobility, a joint venture between the two companies, will launch the premium EV "Afeela" in Japan and the U.S. in 2026, which will feature the AI-enabled self-driving function.
