Asia Tech Wire (Aug 20) -- South Korean chipmaker SK hynix has achieved bright results for the first half of 2024 in China and the U.S.

Its first-half financial report showed that of SK hynix's total sales in all regions at home and abroad this year, China and the U.S. accounted for a whopping 29.8% and 55.4%, respectively.

In the first half of this year, SK hynix's sales in China amounted to 8.6061 trillion won, more than doubling year-on-year.

And during the same period, sales in the U.S. amounted to 15.9787 trillion won, nearly triple that of the same period last year.

SK hynix's sales at home and abroad grew in tandem as the market in the chip industry recovered.

Together with the expansion of the artificial intelligence market, SK hynix saw an even bigger increase in sales in the U.S. market, home to many tech companies.
