Asian Tech Press (Mar. 2) -- Samsung announced a partnership with telecom company NTT East on Tuesday, jointly building a private 5G network in Japan.

Samsung said in a statement that the company and NTT East, a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT), will offer commercial private 5G network services to enterprise customers starting in the second quarter of this year.

Last year, Samsung's private 5G network solutions underwent a series of tests on NTT East's network, demonstrating the capabilities needed to build a private 5G network optimized to meet specific enterprise needs.
