South Korean electronics giant Samsung announced on Tuesday the launch of the ISOCELL Auto 4AC, an automotive image sensor.

The sensor offers 120 decibel (dB) High-Dynamic Range (HDR) images and also supports LED Flicker Mitigation (LFM).

It is suitable for Surround View Monitor (SVM) or Rear View Camera (RVC) systems in high-definition resolution (1280 x 960) .

This new sensor is Samsung's first integrated image solution specifically for automotive applications.

Samsung has provided a concept diagram for the applications as shown above.
