According to foreign media reports, Samsung Display officially launched the project to convert the TV LCD 7-2 production line into an OLED panel production line in Asan, South Chungcheong Province.

Samsung Display plans to complete the dismantling of the original production line by July 20 and then build a six-generation small and medium-sized OLED panel production line. The investment amount of this project is expected to be as high as $2.7 billion.

It is expected that when the transformation of the production line is completed, the monthly production capacity can reach 30,000 sheets. Samsung Display's small and medium-sized OLED panel production capacity will also be increased from 165,000 sheets to 195,000 sheets per month.
