Asia Tech Wire (Sep 10) -- Japan's Panasonic Holdings said Tuesday it will terminate its top sponsorship deal for the Olympic and Paralympic Games after Paris 2024.

Panasonic has agreed with the International Olympic Committee that it will not extend the partnership after the current contract expires at the end of December.

Panasonic first became an official global partner of the Olympics in 1987 and expanded to the Paralympics in 2014.
