Asian Tech Press (Nov 19) -- South Korea's LG Electronics Inc. announced Thursday that it has partnered with the U.S. tech company Nvidia to bring its GeForce Now cloud gaming service to some of LG smart TVs, and that the beta app will be available starting this week.

GeForce NOW, one of the world's largest cloud gaming services, currently supports multiple platforms such as Windows PC and macOS and is compatible with a variety of consoles.

Specifically, LG TVs that support this service include 2021 LG 4K OLED, QNED Mini LED, and NanoCell TV models, which can be supported in 80 markets worldwide.

To get the beta app of GeForce NOW, users need to download it from the LG Content Store. And they can experience 35 games for free after connecting the wireless grips to their TV.

"Partnering with NVIDIA to bring GeForce NOW to LG TV owners is a sign of our commitment to deliver the best gaming experience on LG TVs running webOS," said Lee Sang-woo, senior vice president of corporate business strategy at LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company.

The games that LG TV users can experience for free include Rocket League, Destiny 2, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Crysis Remastered Trilogy and more. These games can be played in 1080P resolution at 60fps. In addition, users who subscribe to premium membership of GeForce Now can get higher picture quality and play more games.
