Asia Tech Wire (Nov 7) -- Nvidia partner Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT) plans to increase its artificial intelligence server capacity in the U.S. in response to strong demand.
Mike Yang, general manager of QCT, said Thursday that the company may expand capacity at or near its existing facilities in Tennessee and California, rather than choosing new locations.
However, Yang did not specify the amount of the planned additional investment, revealing that QCT's current production lines in the U.S. will remain at near-full capacity through the end of 2025.
QCT, a subsidiary of Taiwanese computer maker Quanta Computer that partners with Nvidia to produce AI servers, had projected that sales of its AI servers would double by 2024.
