Asia Tech Wire (June 11) -- The agreement between Microsoft and G42 will allow the UAE to work with ChatGPT owner OpenAI.
Microsoft and UAE artificial intelligence company G42 have reached an agreement that will allow the UAE to work with OpenAI, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Omar Al Olama said in an interview on Tuesday.
In April, Microsoft announced a $1.5 billion investment in G42, gaining a minority stake and a seat on its board.
The two companies will work together on AI products and support the construction of a $1 billion fund for developers to improve AI skills in the UAE and a wider region, Microsoft said.
