Asian Tech Press (Oct 31) -- Market analyst MIC expected global 5G smartphone shipments to grow 18.7% in 2024.

MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute) noted in a report on Monday that global 5G smartphone shipments are expected to be around 660 million units for the full year, up 4.5% year-on-year, due to market conditions this year.

The firm also expected global 5G smartphone shipments to reach 780 million units in 2024, an increase of 18.7%.

According to MIC's analysis, the penetration rate of 5G smartphones is poised to increase to 68% by 2024.
