A recent research report released by Strategy Analytics shows that 5G smartphone sales from Chinese vendors OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi reached $15 billion in Q1 2021.

The 5G revenue of these three vendors alone is almost twice as much as the LTE revenue in the same period.

Data shows that Chinese smartphone vendors are moving from 4G to 5G rapidly, with the LTE handset market shrinking by half in Q1 2021 as high-end devices move to 5G.

The report shows the annual 5G revenue growth of more than 500% in Q1 2021. Apple leads in 5G shipments and revenue while also leading in 4G LTE revenue.
