Korean Air receives first Boeing 787-10 airliner

Asia Tech Wire (July 22) -- Korean Air announced Monday that it has taken delivery of its first Boeing 787-10.

The aircraft will begin operations for the first time on July 25, flying the route from Seoul's Incheon International Airport to Tokyo's Narita International Airport.

After stabilizing operations on short-haul international routes, the aircraft will be used to fly to Vancouver, Canada.

In addition, Korean Air plans to increase the number of Boeing 787-10s on routes where demand is high, such as the western Americas and Europe.

Korean Air aims to operate a fleet of 20 Boeing 787-10s by 2027, deploying them on its core routes in the future.
