Asia Tech Wire (June 21) -- A Huawei executive said there are more than 900 million devices powered by HarmonyOS.

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. held a developer conference in Dongguan on Friday.

At the conference, Huawei's Executive Director Richard Yu revealed that as of now, there are more than 900 million ecosystem devices powered by the HarmonyOS operating system, ranging from wearable devices to cell phones.

Yu also announced the official release of HarmonyOS NEXT, a full-scene intelligent operating system that realizes one system, a unified ecosystem, and bridges multiple devices and multiple scenarios.

He said that HarmonyOS NEXT can realize a 30% increase in the performance of the whole device and a 20% decrease in power consumption.
