Asian Tech Press (Dec 27) -- Apple Inc. supplier Foxconn's factory near Chennai, India, will remain closed for three more days, a senior Indian government official said.
The closure comes after a food poisoning incident at the plant sparked protests by workers and has been in place for a week. Foxconn's Chennai plant is expected to start production on Dec. 30, when 1,000 workers will be in place, people familiar with the matter said.
Apple has reportedly recently started trial production of its flagship phone iPhone 13 at the plant.
