Asian Tech Press (Nov 03) -- According to reports, four Japanese automakers recently announced October new car sales in the United States of 300,089 units, down 27.9% from a year earlier.

The main reason for the decline in sales is that the supply chain is in disarray, leading to severe problems with the lack of semiconductors and delays in the supply of new vehicles.

  • Subaru accounted for the most significant decrease of 36,817 units, a big drop of 40%.
  • Toyota was 146,670 units, a decrease of 28.6%.
  •  Honda was 97,083 units, a decrease of 23.5%.
  • Mazda was 19,519 units, a decrease of 14.1%.
