Asian Tech Press (OCT 06) -- Cathie Wood's flagship Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK) has sold almost all of its holdings in Japanese gaming giant Nintendo since July, according to daily trading data from her firm Ark Invest.

The fund now holds just 1,500 American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) of Nintendo, worth about US$82,000.

Cathie Wood's fund had held more than 4.7 million shares of Nintendo at the end of February, when Nintendo was a 1.55 percent weighting in the fund's portfolio.

But Nintendo's shares have fallen 28 percent since their recent highs in late February as investors worry about slowing sales of its Switch console. Analysts are not interested in the latest generation of the Switch, which is due to be released on Friday. The console features an OLED screen, but no significant hardware improvements. The long-awaited inclusion of Nintendo in the Nikkei 225 index also failed to boost the stock.
