Asia Tech Wire (Aug 7) -- Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific on Wednesday announced the purchase of 30 Airbus A330-900 aircraft.
In a statement, Cathay Pacific said its wholly-owned subsidiary entered into an agreement with Airbus, under which it agreed to purchase thirty Airbus A330-900 aircraft.
Meanwhile, the subsidiary has acquired the right to purchase an additional 30 Airbus A330-900 aircraft.
Cathay Pacific also announced that it will invest more than HK$100 billion over the next seven years in areas such as fleet, cabin products, lounges, digital upgrades and sustainability.
In the first half of 2024, the Hong Kong-based flag carrier achieved revenues of HK$49,604 million, an increase of 13.8% year-on-year.
