Asia Tech Wire (July 9) -- Greg Jensen, co-chief investment officer of hedge fund giant Bridgewater Associates, believes artificial intelligence can be beneficial to investment decisions, according to Bloomberg.
Jensen said that machine learning could improve "so much of what human investors and analysts can do" over the next five years.
While off-the-shelf natural language processing models still have many problems, if you can combine them with data models, "you can create this incredible strength," Jensen said in an interview Monday.
He said the current AI boom isn't like the tech bubble of 1999, because today's soaring company earnings are real, and the bubble then was entirely about expectations for the future.
