Asia Tech Wire (Oct 21) -- Apple employees believe its AI is more than two years behind its top rivals, Bloomberg technology reporter Mark Gurman broke the news on Sunday.

According to Gurman, the first features of Apple Intelligence are not satisfactory, and more impressive features will come later.

Compared to the latest offerings from Google, OpenAI and Meta Platforms, Apple's AI is still far behind.

Even some of Apple's internal studies reflect this, he noted, as the studies show that OpenAI's ChatGPT is 25% more accurate than Apple's Siri and can answer 30% more questions.

"In fact, some at Apple believe that its generative AI technology — at least, so far — is more than two years behind the industry leaders," added Gurman.
