Apple CEO to announce more Vietnam spending during visit

Asia Tech Wire (Apr 15) -- Apple CEO Tim Cook arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam on Monday morning to begin a two-day business visit, according to VnExpress.

During his arrival, Cook will meet with notable content creators and app developers on the App Store, the report said.

Meanwhile, Cook will also unveil plans to strengthen the company's commitment to Vietnam.

In addition to funding a clean water initiative at schools, Apple will increase spending for suppliers in Vietnam.

Apple said that since 2019, the company has spent nearly 400 trillion dong ($16 billion) in Vietnam through its supply chain partners.
