Asia Tech Wire (Aug 13) -- AMD's biggest success in the second quarter of 2024 was in the server segment, according to a new report from market researcher Mercury Research.
The company managed to take 0.5% of the market from Intel and now holds 24.1% of the data center CPU market with its EPYC CPUs, the company's highest server market share in decades.
Intel continued to dominate the client PC market in the second quarter with 78.9% of the market, compared to AMD's 21.1%.
