U.S. stocks closed: the three major indexes closed mixed, chip stocks fell

At the close of the U.S. stock market, the three major indexes closed mixed, with the Nasdaq down 0.06%, the S&P 500 up 0.16%, and the Dow up 0.25%. Chip stocks fell, with AMD down more than 4%, Micron Technology and TSMC down more than 2%. Gold stocks rose, with Kinross Gold and Ames Gold up more than 4%.
