Asia Tech Wire (Oct 8) -- Vodafone on Tuesday announced a deepening of its artificial intelligence partnership with Google in Europe and Africa, as the two companies strategically expand their existing relationship over a 10-year period.
Vodafone will promote Google's cloud storage subscription services, including the Google One AI Premium service that gives access to the Gemini chatbot.
Vodafone said it will expand access to Google's artificially intelligent Pixel devices in Europe via its 5G network and continue to promote the Android ecosystem.
The UK-based telecom operator will also show customers how to use the AI features of the latest Pixel devices in stores.
In a statement, Vodafone said it will use Google's technology to improve the search, recommendation and ad targeting capabilities of its set top boxes and develop a new cloud-based cybersecurity offering for business users.
Vodafone will also use Google Cloud's enterprise-ready AI platform as part of the expanded partnership.
