Asia Tech Wire (May 29) -- Vietnamese electric car maker VinFast is considering further delaying plans to invest $4 billion in a plant in the U.S. state of North Carolina, according to Reuters.

VinFast had announced in 2022 that it would build a plant in the U.S. with an annual production capacity of 150,000 electric vehicles.

The news comes as the Vietnamese EV maker is expanding its presence in the UAE, entering into a partnership with a local dealer.
